Tony Kushner Fans
I realise that this hasn't been posted in since May, but perhaps some of you still read it...|
So, this is a perfect community, and thank you to whoever created it. There really are no words to describe the true genius that is Tony Kushner. No piece of writing has ever spoken to me in the way that Angels in America has, and since I read the play/saw the HBO film I have been completely enamored by the man and his work. Haven't seen the play before, but one day I will.
I recently took a trip to NYC and of course I couldn't miss out on the Bethesda fountain and just Central Park in general. It was my favourite part of the entire trip and I can't wait to go back. I've never felt so inspired in my life. I took tons of pictures which I posted to angelsinamerica it you're interested.
Alright I'm babbling, but there is a point to this post. While in NYC, I saw Caroline, or Change. Those of you that have seen it, what did you all think? It didn't quite have the effect on me that Angels did, but naturally I enjoyed it very much. I love the subject matter and symbolism that he uses in his plays and Caroline was no exception. I would see it again in a heartbeat. I also saw The Boy from Oz (haha) and it just didn't even come close to comparing. I guess that's just my tastes though.
Also, if any of you read this and want to add me to your friends list, that would make me happy. :)
I'm Kate, by the way.
