What has he been up too these days? I haven't heard anything specific and I'm just curious. I think i saw a childrens book he had written or illustrated in the store? *confused*

he wrote it, Maurice Sendak (sp?) illustrated it.

Maurice wrote and illustrated Where the Wild Things Are.

The children's book that he wrote with Sendak is called "Brundibar".

There was a wonderful (and lengthy) article about Kushner in the most recent issue of the New Yorker. Quite interesting.

I believe that he's currently working on another musical (or possibly an opera) that he was commisioned to write as well as a screenplay. Unfortunately, I don't have more complete information than that. I think he's also still working on "The Intelligent Homosexual..."

He is working on another musical at this point, but I can't for the life of me think of what it is about. On a semi- related note, check out this book: "Living Past Hope." I don't recall the author, but it is an invaluable resource on Kushner. My "introduction" to him was seeing the HBO movie of Angels in America, and since then I have being really intrigued by the man and his art. I don't necessarily support his socialist tendencies, but I do think he's a great playwright. I challenge those who call him a propagandist, as well. Sorry if I'm getting off of my original topic! Just wanted to share my Kusherphilia with the world! *lol*
